Your body is like a rocket ship. It needs good fuel to function well.

Wanna know why you feel like your systems are failing and you have pain?

Suppose your body is a rocket ship. If your body doesn’t have all of the nutrients–the rocket fuel–that it needs, it can’t “blast off.” It gets stuck. All the systems are NOT “go.”

Sometimes your wonderful rocket ship of a body just kind of falls over and drops off the platform.

CLUNK.

Here’s the deal: Your body needs certain things in order to function its’ best. Those things include:

stretching

movement

a strong back side

plenty of clean water

fresh air

sunshine and

all of the nutrients it was designed to use.

You just can’t fly if you don’t have the correct fuel.

We are so fortunate that we have so many choices of what to eat. On the other hand, too many of our choices are not really food and not really good for us, either. And, if we don’t give our bodies what they need to function well, we shortchange ourselves.

You can be overweight and still starving. You can think you’re fit and strong yet still be malnourished. But, if you’re reading this article, there’s a good chance that you don’t feel fit and strong. Maybe you feel weak. Puny. Probably your back hurts. Maybe you have a lot of aches and pains.

The good news is: You are in the right place!

You CAN learn how to have a strong back side, simply and easily with equipment you already own: your own bed. You can learn that here at Simple Strengthening. How cool is that?

You CAN learn how to give your body a healthy menu that includes lots of colorful foods (Sorry–Froot Loops don’t count.) You CAN supply your rocket ship with the fuel it needs. And, your body will LOVE you.

That means your aches and pains will start to go away.

If you don’t feel that you are able to get all the nutrients you need from your food, a good multivitamin supplement will supply the missing parts. I really like this one. In fact, I like it so much, it is part of my “health insurance policy.”

If you decide to get a vitamin supplement, get a good one. Drugstore supplements are generally just not enough to be very useful. In fact, even most prenatal vitamins only have a small percentage of what we really need to fuel our bodies well.

It’s time to get your rocket ship back on the platform and ready to ZOOM!

When you give your body all that it needs, your muscles will function as they were designed and you will be able to heal and get rid of your aches and pains.

If your legs feel weak, or achey, here’s a solution for you.

We were built for movement and when we don’t move enough – when we spend too much time in a chair or car – our leg muscles get out of balance and lose strength. Balance and strength occur when we use our legs. When we use our legs, and they are strong, we feel stable instead of weak.

When your legs are out of balance – some muscles are weaker than others – then you get aches and pains in your legs. When your muscles are out of balance, they pull on the bones in a different way than they are supposed to. This causes arthritis.

Some savvy doctors recommend that their older patients take tai chi classes. Tai chi (pronounced ti-chee) is done standing, and the people who practice it develop strong legs and good balance.

Here’s a simple strengthening movement that you can do at home or anywhere.

Stand near a piece of furniture, like the back of a chair. Stand close enough so that you can use the chair back as a support for one hand, if you need it. (And you will probably need it until your balance improves.)

Lift one foot off the ground, and tuck it behind your other calf.

Let go of the chair and try to balance on the foot that is still on the floor.

Keep your hand very close to the chair back in case you need to support yourself.

While you are balancing on one foot, you are using all of the muscles in that foot and leg. You will notice that the pressure in your foot moves from front to back and side to side. Your body is trying to keep its’ balance.

Standing on one foot and balancing like this actually relaxes all of the muscles in your foot and leg, because all of the muscles are being used. You are creating and achieving muscular balance!

Try to balance for one minute. When you start to become better at balancing, you can do two minutes or more.

When you are done with your first leg, then practice balancing on your other foot.

An interesting side effect occurs, and it is a good one! Your legs will be less achey. They will feel refreshed. Why? Because you are using all of your leg muscles, and your body likes that.

Use this new skill to strengthen your legs and get rid of weak and achey legs. Find more help at http://www.SimplePainRelief.com

When your head starts hurting, do you ever think about your back?

Do you wonder why your head is hurting? Do you notice that your back aches, or feels tight, at or around the same time? Are your shoulders tight, too?

Here’s how it works, in a nutshell. If we get out of balance – if our posture gets out of neutral – then our back will start to complain. If we are doing some form of poor posture, like slouching, our back won’t like it. It gets overstretched. The muscles in our back will then get tight, or contract, to keep from becoming way too overstretched.

Since our body is all one unit, when one area is tight it will pull on other areas. When the tight back muscles pull on our shoulders, the shoulder muscles get tight, too. And guess where the shoulders and back muscles pull? Why, on your neck and head, of course.

And then you have a headache.

There is a simple solution to all of this. All you have to do is correct your posture so you don’t get back strain or headaches.

It might not sound so simple to you, but it really is! We used to be in balance when we were toddlers, and we can get back into balance again.

Basically, all we need to do is strengthen our back muscles – the muscles on the back side of our body. When they are strong, they are much less likely to get overstretched, and they won’t contract in retaliation. And then, our back muscles won’t pull on our heads, and viola!

We won’t get a headache.
